Good Afternoon,

I have some very unfortunate news to share. Unfortunately, we will be canceling the YMTSC 2026 Championship Meet. Last week, when we postponed the meet, the school system seemed like they were well on their way to having the pool fixed, but the progress has stalled, and we now have no clue when the pool will be operational again.

Thank you all so much for your flexibility with this and for adjusting your weekends to make this work. This is not the news that I or any of the teams wanted to hear. We have been training so hard and pushing through rough practices to go and show what the Krakens are made of. 

While this may be the end of our short course season, we will be turning our attention to long course season. We will be staying here in Clarksville to swim the Flying Fish on June 20th. More information will be sent out about this meet closer to the date.

I promised the kids that I would have a party to celebrate all the work that they have put into preparing for this meet and I still intend to follow through on my promise without the meet. I plan to have the party on May 12th during normal swim team hours. The Y will be providing Pizza and Cupcakes to help celebrate the kids.

Once again, this is not the news that I wanted to be sharing today. Thank you all for your continued support in the swim team.
